BTW with the. pistol weighing in at around 5lbs and the thumbhole type grip (right hand only) it is a pleasure to shoot no kidding. even my 16 yr old son was able to shoot it without too much problem.

The ruger hornet owner and I are going to the range on sunday.
There is something wrong with that barrel. I think a trip to ruger is coming I just don't know how I could tell if the chamber and bore is the problem. With the lands showing on one side of the lead bullet it made me think that was the problem. It shoots like crap. No two shots hit within a inch at fifty yards from the last one you shot and all seem to be in a 2 inch circle with say the first a 9 o'clock and the second an inch or so right at 3 o'clcock maybe the next right on the X and the next at 8 o'clock.
I made some handloads that should be very accurate in it with lil gun and those hornets are a pain to load.

So if the scope is worth $350, the Striker is also $350 (as a package). Provided someone wanted a quality scope, I think the overall price is great.
It's a small market, but a growing market.

"how I could tell if the chamber and bore is the problem. With the lands showing on one side of the lead bullet it made me think that was the problem" That seems like a logical assumption. If your reloads have quite a bit of runout, you might get the same appearance of a chambered and then ejected round. But, coupled with the lousy accuracy, and off center chamber makes sense. Unfortunately, a chamber that's not concentric with the bore is a problem you can't overcome at the loading bench.

The reloads are from Rocky at the huntchat site. He was really into 22 hornets.
I did not like my 22 hornet brass much. Seems weak,

So if the scope is worth $350, the Striker is also $350 (as a package). Provided someone wanted a quality scope, I think the overall price is great. It's a small market, but a growing market. realistically most bare bone strikers in good shape, blued not SS and same synthetic stock sell all day at 450.00 like the wind. some folks will try to get mid 500.00 to 600.00 for a really clean one. so place a 450.00 value on the gun and 250.00 on the scope and it really is a very fair price. it has to be because I still have to have them buck up for shipping and ffl. fees on their end. I've put about 200 rounds down the tube and the original owner put less than 100 down it. but it is a specialty item for sure and it will take the right buyer to appreciate what it is. however when that person comes along they won't be disappointed in it once they shoot it.

I just bought for the store two guns that were Lipsey's special run guns. All I could say on either one was WOW. Weren't cheap and one was done in 2006 and the other probably about the same time. First one is a #1 in S.S Walnut stock in a light sporter. Unfired and no box as the guy had lost the box somewhere in a move. The gun was chambered in .257 Robert. The other is a Ruger 77MKII RSI S.S. Walnut stock and chambered in 6.5X55 Swede. Kind of spendy and in fact very spendy but both were very short run guns and are none catalog items and both unfired. I think the only ones that will buy them due to their price are the Ruger collectors but thats alright. Both need to go to a collection due to their rarity. Also I picked up a #1 Vermint BL/Walnut in a .300 Win Mag and another in 7MM Rem Mag. Both were non catalog guns. He was a Ruger collector and mostly collected #1's and I bought 16 of his guns and he probably had that many more he didn't bring me. But the two Lipsey's guns were the ones that perked my interest.

Talo does do some unique items, So of the higher class stuff as far a BBQ guns go on a few of the 45 ACP stuff. The real hot sellers are under what they call ALLOCATION so that the big sellers get the chance to buy them up first. That happens with the Davidsons stuff also. Davidsons had those STD marlins YES STD"s with 16 inch barrels and lam stocks for under 600 and now they bring 1000, Just in a few years. They had the 16 inch handi rifle blued and wood in 357 mag just waiting to be reemed out to 357 max. Would have been a near perfect combo. The price was what a regular handi was plus 10 or so. The international 10-22 was a quick sale for them. At one INDY1600 the dealers had them sitting on the tables. I did not have the cash, The next 1500 they were none left. \ www.taloinc.com/www.galleryofguns.com/gallery/specials.aspxTalo is under web sight construction. Davidsons has 4 pages of exclusives including a bl-22 trapper with 16 inch barrel.
