;D ;D ;D So can I say I corrupted you. ;D ;D Your very first rifle, I am proud of you. Only thing is I really doubt that you will get out there much further with that gun than you did with one of your pistols. Never know though. ;D I bet there isn't much recoil with it with that break on it. The McCree Precision stock in the folder configuration should be sweet to carry in a rifle pack. And Wow, is that a Mk4 Tactical on that gun ;D What happened to the Vortex scope and all the others you have been trying out. Gotta git all my jibs in you know ;D ;D ;D Anyway, great job on the gun, looks noting like it started out as. Now if Remington just would build the 700 SPS Varmint in a .260 Rem I might just have to have one so I can go play with you.

Yes, I am a Southpaw. No, The Sky Is Not Falling It is primarily for teaching LR Shooting Classes. Appreciate the kind thoughts. All gunsmith work and cerakoting was done by Chuck MacIntosh (Mac's Gunworks). The rifle is a trued Remington 700 SA (Left-Hand) action, and the factory trigger now breaks cleanly at 1.5 pounds. Chambered in 6.5x47 Lapua. Match chamber/no neck turn/Lapua brass/ 130 grain Berger VLD/ 40.7 grains H-4350/CCI-Small Rifle primer=MV 2838 fps. Krieger 1-8.5 twist barrel (24") and a Mac Brake. McRee chassis (Aluminum stock), with an added custom bag bar by Mac's Gunworks. Scope: Leupold Mark 4 FFP 6.5-20 with ART Reticle. Weighs a tad over 16.5 pounds. Shoots sub 1/4 MOA @ 100 yards

I like that gun. It might not be pretty in the way a wood stock gun with high gloss bluing is but it is gorgeous in the eyes of someone who can appreciate really long range accuracy. With the McCree stock it will hold that action solid as a rock. It has a nice bar to ride a bag with. You have a great place to mount a bi pod and a heavy enough gun that the recoil will be minimal when the muzzle break is figured in along with the weight. Is that your drop chart on the right hand side?? You have a gun there that is put together to be one tough gun. Not much is going to go wrong on that one, that is for sure. Only thing I can say against it and that is just me being picky and trying my best to find something I don't like is those stocks are sure cold in the winter time without gloves. The folding butt kind of makes it all worth it though for ease of carry. Very well thought out. Great long range platform. Another thing about that stock is that with it folded up you could still use it for long range shooting. Bet you thought of that already didn't you.

Yes, that is my drop chart out to 1200 yards. Recoil is nothing.
