My suggestion is get ahead of the game now. Start shooting the suckers before they get so thick that the population of Elk and Deer in the area begin to disappear.

That's a catch & release program I don't agree with. A few years ago a nebraskan would have never drempt of big cats chaseing Elk heards in Nebraska. I have a hunch most nebraskans don't want it as a reality either.

We're dealing with something similar in missouri
The cats have always been in this state but the conservation dept has denied it until just the last 5 years or so. Now they're saying we have a few cats passing through but no breeding populations. BS
Now there's a Bill going through the legislature that would allow people to kill any lion on the spot.
Now I don't want people getting hurt or killed, but think an open varmint season on mountain lions here would be a shame. It's taken 100 years to get to the point where the "confirmed" sightings have increased to maybe a half dozen or so a year. That's not many...and if you allow for a season every coon hunter out there is going to turn the dogs loose in anticipation.
It won't be but a year or so before the population is back down to essentially zero.
I'm 100% against an open season in this state
