I have 6 each morning that want to eat little rocks in the driveway.
I need to find where the rest are hiding.

Well, opening day (Saturday) was a bust for me: I shot three times, got one bird, and couldn't find it. I got e-mails from a couple of my buddies and who said they didn't do any better. Today (Labor Day) looks like it too will be a bust because of all the rain (left over from Isaac). Three of the places I usually hunt I couldn't because they haven't sent me my permits yet (in the case of the two of them) or the corn had been cut for silage (one of them) and there were no birds. I guess I've had worse opening weekends (last year for one). Hopefully things will get better when I can hunt some of these other places.
Any of you guys do anything?

I can't get excited about dove hunting. I think 1) I don't have a place to go and 2) they are either there or they aren't.
I wouldn't mind going down to southern Texas where $300 will give you food, lodging, and 2 days of massive shooting.

As long as you're wishing, you might as well wish to go to Argentina which is probably the best dove hunting venue the world.

Yeah, that's true. It saves on travel time and you can use the outfitter's shotgun. Heck, I could almost go with 1 carry-on bag as luggage.
