I picked up a rather unique muzzleloader the other day and am waiting on the big brown truck. I bought a 1853 Enfield FORAGER, a rifle sighted smoothbore 28 ga shotgun. It looks like the regular War of Northern Aggression rifled musket but is smooth. I picked it up in a fit of nostalgia as the first gun my Grandfather ever had was one of these that they ordered from Sears in 1906 for $2.50. He and his brother used it on the trap line till they could make enough money to buy a Remington rolling block 22. It will be interesting to see what I get and I will post pictures when it comes in next week. I will have to machine a wad punch for the gun but my 58 ball mould should be a ok for this one. It will be a hoot to miss doves with it anyway.

Sounds like a funion one to me!! Met DD & me on the field of Quail sept 1 with it. I promise to play fair! Can't speak for DD though, lol. I would like to see him use his .22 skeet gun though, lol.
