I can't take sitting in this 2010 F150 any longer. It is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat it and is likely the culprit that is messing up my hip. My butt simply does not fit in the seat. I can get in any other car and be comfortable.
So I'm most likely going to sell it in a couple months. Might pick up another Ranger or Escape if it's comfortable.
Anyways...I was curouis on the price I paid $22,500 (Sticker was $31,500). It's an XLT that's pretty much plain jane except power windows. Kelly says private party sale on the truck (13K miles) is $22,500 in excellent condition, $21,500 in good.
I'm curouis if you guys thought I could get $20,000 for it? That's where I really need to be at. I'm not sure if that's realistic in today's market.

I've always had a fair amount of confidence in the Kelley Blue Book both in buying and selling. Your truck probably is worth the prices you found. However, as always, nothing is worth any more than someone is willing to pay for it. With the economy being what it is now, it may be a crap shoot. If it were me, I'd park it is a very conspicuous place, put your desired price on it, and see what happens. Another problem you may be facing is, in the aftermath of that tornado, the last thing people may be thinking about now is buying a used vehicle. However, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

A friend of mine happen to have a couple of the mini cars. One a mini cooper, and one was a toyota prius non hybrid. They are having a 3rd child. He wenr to sell those and was offered very good money. Seems used cars are in high demand. He said he will come out on top of what he owes on both.
Red if it is just the seats and not the ride would you get some aftermarket seats that fit you.
Dad just bought a brand new z71 chevy. I must admit it rides nearly as good as moms caddy. Maybe look at a chevy truck.

Before you get carried away Red ........ Do you do like me and lean your right elbow on the arm rest ? I noticed that the arm rest is about 2-3" to low, which makes you twist your upper body down at an angle. Try setting something on the arm rest 3" higher and try that for a week or so .... You might be surprized !!! Oh and I'll send you the bill.....

Used is selling well, put 22,500 on it and be willing to come down to say 20,500 Would think Insurance would also be looking for nice used right now? No charge.

Still have it, still uncomfortable. Called Ford earlier this Spring to complain and they have never heard of the problem. Because it was so odd, they said the dealer could tear it apart looking for a problem but I'd be paying the bill if they didn't find anything - so I said forget it. It's funny because I was complaining to two different dealers and both of them said they've had complaints about the seats! So I'm not crazy.
I'm getting ready to pay off the loan in a couple months so maybe that will make it less uncomfortable ;D But with the loan paid off, it would make it easier for me to shop it on the private market should I want to test the waters.
For the 2014 model year, the f-150 is going to an alluminum body which will give it 25% more fuel miliage. Hopefully they will change the interier up a bit. That would save $500 a year (which isn't a whole lot but might be worth buying)

Did ya TRY my suggestion ?? I don't lean on the arm rests The passenger side seat is fine. Unless there is a problem with my particular seat, I think the blame could fall on the fact the seat and steering wheel are offcentered by 3" for a better safety rating.
