I got a small lockblade 2" knife for Christmas. It has the Remington logo on it but this is not a cheap knife despite being dull as a bone. Remington lists it for $37 but one sold on Ebay for 20 to the door. Made in the USA 440 steel Green and black glossy bone (I think) handle I'm thinking it's probably a Case.

I found out they're made by Bear & Son.
I've had one of the Camillus-produced "Big Game Folding Hunter" versions with the saw and gut hook for many years now and have really liked it.
Camillus went under about 4 years ago.
The old pre WWII were remington made. Dupont bought it out in the 1950's.
The bullet knives are the ones everyone looks out for collector wise. I think you can find out for sure looking at the tang blade for the model number RXXXX and then the shield and that tells a real knife collector what exactly it is.
s far as I remember no case knives were made for Remington but they had tons of companies make special runs at times do I could be very wrong.

Is that a pretty good company or do you even know anything about them?

Is that a pretty good company or do you even know anything about them? I've had a Bear Damascus knife for years. Very good knife that holds an edge.

Probably 20 yrs. ago I gave my son a Remington pocket knife that was a knock-off of the boy scout knife. He has used it hard and often over that time and it still looks just about as good as it did the day it came out of the box. It's probably made by the same folks that made yours. It holds an edge well and seems very resistant to rust and tarnish.
