First off guys, it is good to be back. Hope all is well with you. Living in Wyoming has given me a number of opportunities for long-range shooting that didn't exist in other places we have lived. Bill, If you are wanting some Specialty Pistol exposure and shooting opportunities and some really cool SP's to boot that in your backyard: www.moaguns.com/www.moaguns.com/coldturkey.htmlwww.moaguns.com/moa_max.htmlAll, I have continued to be committed to LR shooting and hunting. Also, I am the US dealer for Sebastian's SEB and NEO coaxial joystick rests. Here are some rigs, critters and distances from the last couple of years. Enjoy! Ernie 600 yards Mule Deer with the same XP: 1,037 yard Antelope with a 7mm WSM XP-100, using a 162 grain A-max. 338 Lapua Improved (338AX) center-grip XP This is my biggest boy to date. 97.0 grains of Retumbo with a 300 grain Berger or SMK in the low 2700 fps. 7mm SAUM XP and my son Erik-Now 16 years old: 6.5 Leopard (6.5WSM) 496 yard Mule Deer, 130 grain Berger Chuck McIntosh of Mac's Gunworks built the last two SP's, and did the paint job. His shop is about 15 miles south of town. He builds great rifles too. E

Totally awesome guns there Ernie. I have been adding to my collection of long range guns too but all in rifles. Rem 700 Sendero in .264 Win Mag and another Sendero in 7MM Rem Mag. I am hoping to break a 1000 yds this next fall unless I do it in the late season this year. I only have just got the two guns and am working up loads right now but work has me on a six day a week schedule so things have been kind of slow on the load work. I'm going to give the 168 grain Berger's a try with Retumbo. Ya it makes me feel a bit bad that I'm using a rifle but I still have records to beat using a rifle. Maybe when I get those broke I will switch over. I'm looking also at building my Edge yet to shoot the 300 grain SMK, When I do that I'm going to have to give Kirby a call and get one of these huge Pain Killer breaks like you have on your Lapua Improved. Dep Don and I were talking the other day about this valley that I use to hunt with my grandfather and he now has access to that we would sit and look at deer across the valley and think "Man I would love to be able to shoot that far" Well I'm doing it and he wants to. He can, he just don't know he can. Any more its a chip shot for me and long range for him but if he try's he will get there. Bad part is it takes money. I keep trading two's and three's away to upgrade. My numbers dwindle but the quality improves. Anyway great guns and it looks like its been a great season for you and your son and by the way, He has grown since I seen him last. Looks like he is going to take off and work his way up to the altitude of his dad. Just in case the rest of you didn't know it Ernie is huge. ;D I feel like a dwarf next to him. Hows the Long Range shooting classes going. You teaching them yet or is it still in the long range plan. I really would like to come over some time and have you teach me a bit although right now what is holding me back is good equipment. I'm working on upgrading my Lica 1200 to a Lica 1600 soon and I sold my PDF with Horris Visions ballistic program. Planned on upgrading but ended up spending the money on another gun and now need to catch up a bit. That and a Kestrel and I will have all I need for dialing.

I am still helping Darrell Holland with his LR shooting school. I will only help with one 4-day class in May of 2011 this time around. I am doing private 3-day lessons locally though. I had enough people ask me that I decided to go ahead and start. Erik is an excellent shooter, even from field positions. Haven't been your way in awhile. I will look you up next time I am in town.
