Kind of small, I like the Single Six better. Shoots better too. By the By, your new one should be there today.

They are a nice little handgun. Used to carry one on the trapline. Like Bill says theyare kind of small, though I have small hands I found it small enough it was hard to shoot well. But it did well once I got used to it. If you have larger hands you might find the single Six a better fit.

I have always wanted a Bearcat. I have an Old Model Super Single-Six Convertible and yes, they do shoot well. However, I'd still like to have a Bearcat. Size-wise they remind of the old Colt Frontier Scout series which I have always loved. My son inherited one of the Nickle Plated ones (Frontier Scout) from my dad that was still in the original factory box with the extra .22 WMR cylinder. I figure that one is probably a collector item now so we don't shoot it much. The Bearcat, on the other hand, would definitely be a shooter.

I'm going to offer a different take on the Bearcat. I had one in 1967? thereabouts because it was cheaper than the single six I wanted. I carried it hunting and in the woods and thought it was BETTER than the single six. Small and light enough to pack anywhere and accurate enough to dump a bunny at 30 yards or finish a trapped coyote. I found I never nedded and usually couldn't afford 22 WMR's anyhow so I didn't miss the extra cylinder and when I finally traded up to a Single six with a 6" barrel I was sorry I did it.
