well i've finaly have been able to get to the range and shoot again since they rebuil the range i normaly go to and it just reopened 2 weeks ago. i'm starting to get decent groups out of that savage stryker of mine. it is in 7-08 and last week i shot it at 130 yrds and every hit was well within the paper plate i was usung for my target which would have put the hurt on any deer i can think of even a missouri bruiser. i'm hoping there is some blood in it's imediate future yet this year on a whitetail hunt.

I don't know about the Forest 44 range, but I called up at Busch to see what their hours were (cause with time changing I won't be able to go to the unmanned ranges 1 - 1 1/2 hours away) a couple days ago and they said "2-8" I said sarcastically "what do you have, light?" They said yep I asked if that helped with the crowd and they nope - there's pretty much an hour wait at minimum at any time during the day

well i'm just shooting factory ammo right now and it hasn't found anything it realy hates. i've been getting decent groups with remington, better groups with Federal Fusions (all in the 140 gr size) and i bought some of that Prvi Partizan from midway for 16.00 a box and it groups rather well so far. eventualy i'll hand load for this and when i do i'll more than likely go for something in the 120 gr range but in the end i'll let the most accurate bullet dictate my choice. i had a box of remington manage recoil that i put a few through this thing and it printed a very nice group. had probably half the muzzle jump. i need to get a across the chest holster for it and i need to figure out what kind/brand of shooting stick i want to get. i'm open to all suggestions and experiences you wish to share. right now i have to decide about a scope trade i was just offered. go to my other post in the pistol thread and i outline my delema.

When you start loading the 120 NBT is a fav among SP hunters. I use Bi-pods more than anything else. E
