Well Catch and release may cost him a record. In Nebraska a state record has to be weighed by state officials.

In Indiana it has to be a certified scale and witnessed. This lake is real close to my house about 8 miles but I normally just catfish there.

Man... I bet I have caught crappies CLOSE to that. I have caught 18" crappies before. I never weighed them. I filleted them. The lake I caught them in has not been producing them that big for a while though.
Bradford Woods in Martinsville. Plus, when I caught them... I was tresspassing. Now I have permission to fish there.

Wow, I've caught a couple huge ones on 6" plastic worms but nothing quite like that!
