Be careful with the stainless screws they are brittle and can crack.
My FFL charges 15 dollars for a transfer fee. I will give you what you paid for the gun and shipping. This way you would only be out those bass pro points.

By the way use blue lock tite not superglue. It will be easier for me to remove.

I used blue permatex and I'll let that cure. That does explain why 2-3 shots would be within an inch of eachother and the other 2 completely random 4 inches away ;D I'll give it a try next weekend and see if I can close those groups now that the sight is attached.

Ramp...base...yeah. The screw on the right is just the elevation screw. What came loose was the screw on the left which screws into the frame and holds the sight in place.

Use to be those were locktighted at the factory. I've been looking at some different forums, both ruger specific and smith specific. The general agreement from what I'm reading is that the S&W quality has really gone down hill and you're paying for the brand.

...The general agreement from what I'm reading is that the S&W quality has really gone down hill and you're paying for the brand... I have thought that for years now, particularly the part about "you're paying for the brand". I've never had any problems with the sights falling off my cheapo Rugers.

Now I'm just guessing here but................... I'LL BET RED WOULD HAVE PROBLEMS........
