At least it's not a Toyota or Nissan!!! I think Dodge trucks have had this option for just general storage now for a year or two. I think it's a pretty neat feature. As you said, it utilizes otherwise wasted space. The only problem is I don't believe this would work with a cap or camper shell (which I always want on all my pickups).

I loooked at a old rail road work truck once with the storage panels on the backside as a hunting/fishing truck. Sadly it was not good enough for the asking price. It was built like a tank and had all kind of lockable weather tight storage compartments.
The old astro van needs some attention in the near future, Right now it has 4 tree stands in the back and some screw in steps. No legal plates or insurance since got the company truck.
Company vans work well as hunting rigs until you put a dead deer in the back and have to clean out all the blood.

We have always had chevy trucks and I had a ford ranger that was a real winner as when I sold it it had over 400,000 miles on it. Now the passanger floorboard was rusted enough to see the road move under your feet but still a great all around truck.
The dodge trucks I would get would have the cummins engine and allison tranny but heck those two upgrades alone cost more than most pickups.
