i have not had much of a chance to do any shooting or other hunting activities at all since late winter. my range i normaly go to has been shut down since Dec for a complete rebuild and is schedule to reopen in the next few weeks (finally). Anyway yesterday was merit badge make up day for any scout that worked on a merit badge at the week long summer camp but was not able to finish for various reasons. so i and about 24 other instructors worked the shooting range for the (.22 rimfire) rifle shooting merit badge. it was nice to be around all that shooting and being a part of it even though i never touched a trigger. the kids all had a good time and all worked very hard to get their qualifying targets of 5 shots within the dia of a quarter. i have so much shooting to do myself this sept when the range opens up it aint funny. i have my son needing to shoot the A-Bolt a ton, i have a muzzle loader i have not even shot yet and i also have several firearms that feel abandon over the last 9 months. looking forward to getting out in the near future, this is the longest non shooting span i have ever gone in my life since my late teens.
