I ordered an F-150 about 5 weeks ago. I got the call that said it was in.
There's so much cosmetic shit wrong with this thing I can't hardly hate people for going over to Toyota!
Whoever put the seat cover in had dirty hands, the seat cover was not installed right on the passenger side. They said they'd reinstall the seat cover. Then I get home and found either overspray or lack of clearcoat on a couple inches of the A-frame. So I guess I'll be knocking on the body shop door at 730 tomorow morning.
Just a horrible job

Well the body shop quickly polished the overcoat off. The manager said to scheduale an appointment and they'll see what their 3rd party upolstry company can do to the seat. He thinks there might be a couple stitches that are too tight which is causing the creases in the seat. Maybe I'm picky, but it shouldn't have came from the factory like that. It actually looks worse in person.

Make em get it right red. After all your going to be driving it a long time.
Is it a ext cab or a regular cab.
If regular cab look at a fiberglass bed cover. My little reg cab ranger filled up with stuff to quick, I had a tarp like bed cover and when it got cold if shrank and you could not close it. When i added a fiberglass bed cover to my s10 i got 2 mile to the gallon better milage. At first i did not think I needed a cover and I don;t really like the caps but the covers are easy for one person (with a 3 foot ladder to take off and on in about 10 minutes. Stuff used to fly out of the back without one. keeps viewing eyes out of the stuff in back and is semi thief resistant.
Then there was the truck vault I had in my s10 and bed rug, I did computer repair back then when people just did not throw them away. Not for everyone but I never scratched a single computer in all my travels. I could /would not hual wood and stuff in the back just tools/guns/ and computer equipment so it was kinda specialized. I went to my bank first with 5000 dollars and got a good deal on the loan pre approved. Went to 5 dealers till i found the s10 4 syl 5 speed 2 wheel drive in matalic blue, called the van custom shop that does the cover and truck vault bed rug. Had the dealer drive it down to the VAN_A_DO shop and when they got down installing the salesman and I signed the paperwork there at the custom shop.
I had to put the custom stuff on the loan but since I get the GM class A buyer discount I get it at the dealer cost almost.
I wish I still had that truck as my oldest daughter loved it.

Supercab 4x2 with limited slip It's a maroon metalic color so when the sun is shining you get flakes of red, yellow, bronze, etc and make it look that much nicer. I was going to put a cabhigh campershell on it. With the suspension, the shell would only clear my door by less than 2" which is cutting it too close. I think putting a 180 pound shell on the bed might drop the overall height perhaps 1/2" or so. But then again, I have a lot of room in the back seat that can store all the things I need to keep dry. I just know it will smell like a barnyard, which I'd rather keep in the bed ;D I'm not getting a flat bed high shell...around here it always seems like that's what the D-bags get. I don't want to drive around town with everyone just assuming I'm a prick cause I have that cover on it ;D This is a bad picture, but I just went outside and snapped it.

The extra room behind the seats is nice. I guess I am one of the d-bags. if you get one it the higher than the cab shells then the gas milage takes a small hit. maroon metallic color I like it. I think a set of spinner rims would make it looks sharp. bed rug www.bedrug.com/truck vault www.truckvault.com/sub/Ford/F-150_Pickup/Mine was install by van a do in pendleton and like I said for running statewide computer service it was the cats meow, The bed rug was so thick i could sleep on it like a bed.

polypropylene?
Hmm I would think it would have more of a reaction to the elements than the traditional rubber mat.
I need to get over to the Rural King and get one of those rubber mats for $60.
I think I'm going to get a chrome bug shield too.
I'm debating on the campershell. There is a ton of room behind the seat.

The rubber would have left black marks on the computer or printer cases if the slid around in the back of the truck.
Like I said it was for computer repair statewide and carrying around guns and tools. That little truck would get stuck in grass and a wet dew. I felt like batman in the batmobile with it myself. Yes a bit nerdy. The truck vault is very expensive. I even got the cut out poly inserts and cut around a few carry/truck guns. At 41 cents a amile back then in reimbursement i was racking in more money driving it than most truckers and I got hourly pay also.

The white astro van I have is now semi-retired. at 243,000 miles she has served me very well even with the gunshot wound I gave her, My brother in law is going to give her some TLC over the next few weeks with new brakes plugs wires and a cap.
This morning I pick up a semi-new 23.000 mile full size chevy work van. Best thing it is a company van so it cost me zero. The biggest raise a union tradesman gets is a company van. They will even let me keep my carry piece in a micro safe in the van unless I am at a public school doing work with would be a federal offense. Got to love got company owners who like the shooting sports.
