" Maybe we could have a "old timers" hunt. . . " I can see it now. Walkers with a rack on the front to hold the shotgun.

Don did any of the pheasants survive last year? Or how did they taste? Was to get 150 last week & they did not show so they were to come yesterday & did not show either ? Maybe today? or not?

I never saw any and never shot any so I'm guessing they never made it. But I brought 100 chicks @ the Pheasants Forever Banquet. Interested in raising them ? I'll take the first fifty you get everything past that. Let me know..

When? Pen is tied up now for 4+ weeks & jeff has Quail comeing on june 26 & he ordered 200 whitch is 50 to many for the serogator so some will need to go in the pheasant pen. So off hand I may not be able to do them but I would if I could. The pheasant hatch this year has ben a slow & tough one so far for swansons says jeff. geting the birds to breed in the cold weather I guess?? Guess the quail are comeing through Swansons by way of Olesons flyway in SD.

155 - 1 = 154
This time they gave me two black pheasants with a white ring around their necks ? If they survive some hunter get's a special treat I guess.

Birds came tuesday 21 today is sunday 28 155 - 2 = 153 I took out the tin circle around the lamps today as by tomarow it is likely they would start jumping/flying over it. I also put in a lot of habitat [ceader branches] Still keeping the entire pen coverd as weather is staying quite cool But now they have the entire pen to use. Just hope they are old enough to come back to the heat lamps? before dieing of exposure.
