147 - 2 = 145
Went to town this morning & saw a roster with a hen, on the way home the hen crossed the road & a small two to three week old followed it, I almost hit it but got stoped so it survived me lol. Nice to see them produceing in the wild.

It is supposed to cool down soon Bounce so maybe that will help a bit also. It was down to 68 last night when I went to bed and that felt like I was sitting in the refrigerator. Hell the wife keeps the air set at 77 and that feels cold when you come in from 105 temps but last night it felt warm when you went outside. Great night to watch fireworks. Pennington County shut the county down to all fireworks but that didn't stop anyone. Hell the drunk down the street brought them up the street to the front of my house and lit them off as the cop had already been to his house and warned him. ;D Doubt that it helped much. Hell he left a string of bottle rockets all up and down the street. The cannon shell he lit off just about got him as he was really slow at getting back up after lighting it and I was just waiting for it to nail him. Didn't happen. Anyway keep them cool. Or maybe I should be saying keep them warm after today. ;D

145 Bring it on down bill Pheasants actualy like the heat, right up to the point they become fried, big thing is to make sure their water is warm & not cold. I keep a pail filled a day ahead & if on a drip system the tank would be warm as well.

We had an 1" of rain last night but according to the radar it came straight out of the south and headed north by north east. Be glad you didn't get it as places out on the plains had 90 MPH winds in some places and that could of been worse for you than no rain.

145 - 1 = 144 I belive it was dead for some time and I just now found it. This batch of birds are nothing like the 1st batch for the year in viger & grouth, I belive that runs true most years the early breedings are the strongest birds. By this time the last batch was already giveing me big problems flying out when feeding no shuch thing with this batch.
