I'm not normally (never) a 410 fan, but this actually has me eyeballing it. www.rossiusa.com/2010newcatalog/?catalog_page=4Note this does come in either a smoothbore barrel or a rifled barrel (no word if it's the same type of rifling as the judge...worthless...or if it is a deep rifling. Anyways, I wonder what the equivilant choke is on the smoothbore barrel? It does point out the smoothbore version is 410 only so it's going to be tighter than .451. What kind of patterns are we talking about at 25 yards with 3" 6's or 7's If it was full or modified I might just be interested...

Oops...I just remembered that pesky 3 round max rule in shotguns. I wonder how that would work...

Think I would rather have a Reminton 1100 in .410 or 28ga I think bare skin maybe a dangerus thing if your left arm uses the forarm wood? Like shhoting a bow with out protection from the string.

I don't know about Hunting with one..... But that would be perfect for a "Rat Killin". Though I doubt that's done much in the suburbs anymore?? Oh for the days when goig to the dump to shoot rats was an accepted and legitimate pastime!!

Red it would be prefect rifle to go with your conversion army/navy revolver. Something a bit different than the rest of the guys at the range.

The 3 round in shotgun rule is normally for waterfowling. At least in Indiana. I don't think this rig would be my choice for waterfowl.

Oops, you have a typo there. It's actually abomination... ;D I suspect he wrote exactly what he meant to. I would be surprized if that spelling is not in Dan Websters Book before long. Much like the origin of the expression"Your Name is Mud".

I'd get the 1858 cap and ball version of the Rossi Off topic, but I went in to Cabelas today to see if they could order that conversion for me. I happened to look in the used gun counter and saw a used "New Vaquero" in a 357 stainless steel for $420. That's very tempting at that price...I might go back and get it instead.
