The one that still weighs heavy on my mind, is the one Two Moons reccomended several yrs ago when I was wanting a rifle typical of what was used in Iowa during the time Iowa was settled. Vincent. And would make a sweet Squirrel Rifle!

What about this ?? Long Range Shooting Historical Perspective Illustrated is a Rigby match rifle. The 'Improved Long-range Rifle' (Model of 1867) adopted the shallow grooving and hardened bullet as pioneered by William Metford. The Rigby rifle was famously used by the Irish team in the Elcho Shield matches at Wimbledon and the international rifle matches at Creedmoor during the 1870's. www.lrml.org/John Rigby Well known Irish rifle maker. Rigby rifles were famously used by the Irish team at Creedmoor in the International Rifle Competition against America in 1874. Am I on the right track Two Moons ?

That Rigby is a rifle that I find interesting! It was a Kick Butt Target Rifle in it's day!! Has nice simple lines, but I don't think you need Slugs for Squirrel? ;D

What you want is the Rigby ROOK rifle a scaled down garden gun for small game. Can you build it ? What caliber ? Maybe I might want the full sized Rigby. Maybe a .416 wouldn't be a bad caliber......
