It's something I have thought for years I would like to do but never have. Thinking of getting a vise and giving it a go. Any advise?

Over 90% of my trout fishing consists of this little 1/100oz jig with a short ultralight spinning combo. Put it under a little bobber but you don't watch the bobber --- I sight fish it from close quarters. As soon as the trout opens it's mouth you give it a slight hesitation and lift the rod. You watch the bobber, you get no fish because in these heavily fished "trout parks" it's out of their mouth as fast as it was in. Take a half dozen of them with you and you can fish all day catching who knows how many rainbows. Of course with the cheap hooks, they eventually snap after a half dozen attempts of straightening them. Black works as well but only in fast water or on days they'll make the bobber move.
