Nice deer... I'm still waiting to kill one like that ... I've only got 2 more weeks to do it this year.

I feel I saw this buck at least twice during a period of time from a week to ten days before getting him. I can tell you I didn't notice him being skinny than but both times he was on the move so I might have missed that. I will say that another bigger buck most definitely beat him up bad judging by the wounds most likely last week sometime. And the neck wounds which could be from a big cat look to be a day old at the most. I'll email Scott pictures of the neck wound to post either here or in the cat thread we have going now, or both.

Can you find cat tracks now? This will give you something to hunt now that your deer seasion is over. Take your .17 HMR as if your hunting bob cat. And if you find a bob cat with a long tail just cut it off. And if it's kinda big, just call it a Linx. Best leave it lay though and cover your tracks, as with in a few days the Nebraska game boys will show up in their signal truck. LOL.

Kind of like the buck I shot south of Center the last year or two I hunted with you. Wasn't much left to eat even. Difference was I hit mine in the neck at 186 yards with the .58 and knocked his antlers off. Man talk about run down. Anyway Dep-Don the reason he was probably where he was at was so he could see anything coming. You just outguessed him. I would like to see the one that beat him up.

Well MLing season is over here in Nebraska!!!I went out for about 45 minutes before sundown. The deer of course are eating whatever they can get to including trees. One very nice 4X5 made it so far. His rack is wider than his ears and twice as tall. He was south of my house on the creek. I also saw the little one horned folkie that walked by me and Bounce during rifle season. And alot of flat tops. Hopefully all will make it though the winter and be alive and well for us to pursue next fall and winter!!

Here's a big 7X7 a guy from Creighton shot during MLer season west of Bounce's. He's getting it unoffically scored @ the Big Buck Show in Omaha this weekend. But still has to wait 60 days for the final score. My guess mid-160's......... Time will tell.............. I can't get it to post I'm sending the picture to Red to post.
