Brother and I moved the Honda to my garage this morning. 80 Honda CX500 23,000 miles. Been stored for 5 yrs and will take some tinkering to get it on the road. But I have it where I can work on it now.

Like for some troutfishing on the Verdigre head waters? lol.
DD do you know if Nebraska still stocks trout in the steel creek? Years ago they did but it seems to me they may have also stoped some years back now? I'm just not up on that stuff.

I'm not sure. I know Dave D. and the late Paul Crosley stocked Coolie Creek east of Center w/ trout. I always look for them when I hay along the Coolie east of town and I've seen them at times. They don't know if they'll reproduce or not. Paul and I were always gonna flyfish for them but didn't get a round to it. Now I'll have to do it w/ Paul watching (and laughing at me) from up above. A good lesson in "Don't keep putting things off", I guess. RIP Paul and get ready to laugh this spring from whereever or whichever way you went!!!!!!!!!! I promise I'll do it.

[chuckles] It's geting late in the month and your post are rambling longer & longer. So to try and not be out done. LMAO I should tell you That Trout do not survive in are streams and die off in time. And thats Why the state has trout raiseing stations as they must keep re-stocking to have fish to catch. They stop so will the fishing.

Contare Bounce; Paul and Dave sent the Creek water in and had it tested before stocking it. The tests proved that the Creek water had enough of everything required for trout to survive!!!! The only question was reproduction in it. That was four or five years ago and I know I saw some darting around last summer while haying.

It's why they may not be stalking the Steel ? poor results on longjevity. Yes if they are reproducing their that would be good. I don't think it happens offten in Nebr. Not sure about the grove lake area either.

Maybe you, me, and Bounce (Moto Guse') could meet up on our classics next summer. I think that would be great!! I'm not familiar with the streams in your areas. But noticed on the Nebraska DNR site they list streams they stock. I spent a night in O"Niell about 10 yrs ago on the way back from Yellowstone. And they listed a lake in O'neill that was stocked. Moto Guzzi is a fine bike(they were kind of famous for electrical problems just like Italian Cars), there was a dealer in Newton in the 60's& 70's Who sold them and there were a lot around here. Iowa has about 150 streams they stock for put & take trout fishing. I don't think their is any that have breeding wild. That's about 160 miles NE of me. My Parents and Brother camp up there a week at a time, a few times every summer.

Elkader, Iowa theres a city park that allows camping on the banks of the Turkey River. And sometimes in Backbone State Park ( a few miles South of Strawberry Point. you could find them on Mapquest.
A Couple of couples from church often go up at the same time. One of them is the guy who had this Honda for over 20 yrs.
Those people are retired and get away easier than us working folks?

Steel creek was not listed. I think you mentioned, East Branch Verdigre Creek and it looks like they stock an average of 200 every month. There are a number of streams listed you guys would probably know but meant nothing to me.

Found a fish stocking search engine for you: www.ngpc.state.ne.us/fishing/guides/fishguide/FGfindstock.asp
