Tomorrow is our last bass club tournament. We are fishing the Menomonee River on the border between Wi and the UP of Michigan. According to the weatherman the morning temp is supposed to be 39 degrees with a high of 50. It will be a cold day of fishing but hopefully the smallies will be down river. Normally this time of year there are a number in the 5# class caught.
I am in 4th place in the club standings out of 29. I have a chance at 3rd but #1 and #2 would really have to bomb for me to pass them. I have a guy in 5th that is closing in on me so I need to at least have to outfish him to hold on to 4th. I am fishing with middle daughter's boyfriend and it is his first bass tournament. It should be interresting.
Next weekend I head to Madison for the final one. A little further south but it will probably be cool.....it is October.

I ran into this post today. It was interesting. I wasn't able to catch a keeper, the guy in 5th used a jet boat to get above the river's rapids and caught 5 keepers. I ended up in 5th place for the year.
It was too cold for the October Madison tournament so that got cancelled.
Oh well, this is a new year.
