Got one just like it right now andf they are good bulletproof guns. In 1972 my brother in law and I each got an Ithaca, I got a 26" sxs 20 and he got a 500 and later his brother got a 500. Now 30 years and thousands of rounds later they are still as tight as new and shoot as good as new.

if i could get the one in the picture above for 600.00 in value or less, would that be a fair deal in your opinion or on one side or the other from that? by the way the best prices i could find for a similar model was at least 800.00 and up to 1,100.00 on gunbroker. these prices were for similar models

Jim Mine has the oil finish stock and was a duck hunters gun and I got it for $500, but here also they are going for from 600 to 1100 in that shape. I think a lot would depend on the feel of the gun to you, and what you want the gun for...remember they were not designed for steel shot and if it is mod and full it will be a lead gun only, mine is imp and mod and I do shoot steel in the imp barrel with no problems so far. Bottom line is the price is right if the gun fits you.

ok must be newer as it is listed as screw in chokes, i guess sometimes ya gotta read everything. the guy wants to trade me for one of my semi auto's, even up. i'm really starting to like the Franchi a lot and my middle son has fallen in love with the Berreta as it fits him better.

The Franchi is the better gun IMO
Of course the Berreta has the black stock if you're going to rough it

guys against my better judgment i backed out on the trade. i backed out knowing i would have gotten the better end of the deal on it. truth is though i really like that Franchi right now. it's light as hell and shoulders great and does not pound the snot out of you.

I think the Franchi is one of those guns that is just "off limits" to deals. You can trade it off, trade some more guns, and eventually end up with something like that Franchi anyway.
I think it's a keeper
