there's a guy wanting 200.00 for this, but no barrels. realisticly how much would it take to get a set of barrels for it and would a guy be better off just buying the complete package? (my actual thinking on this one) what would be a fair price for this project package?

I'd want the hole gun and together for $200, a 24 is not that great to get involved in that way,jmo A compleat gun at 60% is $150 in the book.

You would be right back at the place you were with fitting a barrel to a NEF, "Job for a competent Gunsmith). Not a job for a home hobbiest. No bargain in my opinion either.

i have no thoughts of doing it myself. i was trying to figure out if the parts were worth buying and haveing someone competent put together a set of barrels. maybe i'll offer 75.00 for it.

The price would be ok...except now you have to either be open to the calibers or wait a year or two to find exactly what you're looking for at the price you want to pay. Sounds like a lot of hassle

you could part the 24 out on g-broker and make a couple of bucks believe it or not. At 75 you would not loose parting it out.
Still there are lots of them around. Seems to be a premium on the older ones that were soldiered together barrels over the ones with the space in between them.

At 200$, I'd be laughing- no deal at all. I'd offer 50$, and hope he turned me down. You'll be a lot better off buying a whole one.

Sorry the barrel set is going to cost you a ton IF you can find one. The guy is asking retail price a GPC for the stuff and it's not woth that as a rebuilding ptoject. W/O the Barrels i would maybe go $75 for the works.
