In the last 7 years I have lived in 4 different states. First one was Nebraska were you get the "Good Life" and get to pay half a months wages to license your car each year unless its just about on its last leg and then you still get to pay out the A$$ for Taxes and License. Then I moved to Kansas where it wasn't as bad but still not all that good. Just a bit lower taxes on your vehicle but still not good. Then I moved back to Nebraska and took it in the A$$ again for License and Taxes on my vehicle. Gotta pay for repair on those roads you know. Then I moved to South Dakota. When you buy a new vehicle you have to pay sales tax on it. BUT you only pay half of regular taxes on vehicles. SO rather than paying thousands of dollars in Taxes when you license a vehicle you pay only about $300 plus the initial licensing fee's and such. Then Unlike NEBRASKA the GOODLIFE you don't have to pay out the nose every year again. You pay $30 for new License as South Dakota says "Hey" you should not have to keep paying every year more tax on the same vehicle you already bought and payed the taxes on. You just pay $30. Ain't that sweet.
