Another by Wayne Goddard," The Wonder of Knife Making" From Blade Magazine. In 1991 Blade Magazine had been getting a lot of technical questions on Knife Construction. So They sent them off to Wayne Goddard, and began a Question and answer column in the magazine. This book is a compilation of Waynes answers from would be bladesmiths. Being more of a Text format than his last book it took a little longer for me to read. Yet it also will become a handy reference I will keep close by. It consists of 13 chapters, 18 pages on the Mystery and Magic of steel. 24 pages on heat treating steel, chapters on setting up a smithy and forged blades, 13 pages on Damascus Steel, chapter on how to sharpen knives, How to make friction folders, Modified Vice Grips and KnifeTesting etc. I think anyone interested in knives could get his money's worth from this book. I sure think it was worth the price.
