Well opener was this weeeknd and it Rained and got COLD, and almost snowed. If I was home working instead of out at camp I would have been miserable, but the worst day hunting.... Turkey were NOT callling until we tore down Sunday about 10:00. It was 36 degrees most of the night with a light mist falling all the time. We saw lots of trukeys Friday but couldn't shoot. We did see a whole flock roosting in the back yard of a farm I hunt, then we saw them on the corral poles and after a good look with the bino's saw that they were turkey buzzards! A whole flock of them roosted around this old gal's house. Boy would that creep you out to get up and see the buzzards waiting! We got up to 50 feet from them and the camera battery went dead! We did get some pictures of the toms in DD front yard but they are not shootin' bird they are lookin birds.
