I had a cheaper snap-on rifle sight on it a few years back until I broke it rabbit hunting. On that one you could only adjust the windage and it was only a preset click left and right. This one is here fully adjustable for windage and elevation. And it sits up a little higher on the rib so I don't have to bury my face into the stock. I think it will work nicely. Anyone use this sight?

I like the single or double dot without the rifle sight type rear. Or a red dot. The 2 power red dot i have worked well for me on coyotes this year and i think would do well on rabbits/turkeys too.

I picked up one for 50 bucks last night on an impulse purchase.
I had the choice between the turkey model and the slug gun model but they looked to be the exact same thing in a different package. The slug gun version had it's package factory sealed so I got that one.
I might try that out wed afternoon if it's not too cold.

Well I got this mounted and zeroed. I'm hitting a 8x11 sheet of paper 60-70 times at 50 yards including about 10-12 pellets in the 3" circle bullseye. So it's ready to go at 50 yards. It took about 8 shots with dove loads at 10 yards to get it perfect. Do note that if your shotgun has a progressive rib (like an 870) you'll need to mount it where the ramp flattens out or else you'll run out of elevation adjustments. The way it mounts, it's solid as a rock. You need to pry it off. The elevation is adjusted with an allen wrench and you slide it up/down a ramp. The windage is adjusted by unscrewing a set screw (that is very tiny and can easily be lost when dropped in gravel taking 30 minutes to find it again)  and then tapping the dovetailed sight over. For 50 dollars, I would of liked to see the whole thing made out of steel and torque screws. The sight may be steel (I'm thinking it is) but the allen key system is cheap. I've never had an allen key that I didn't strip the head off of in short order ! |

I like the Williams fire sights and these look very much like those.

I'm still using my Bushnell Holo site on my Remington 1100 and seeing as how it cannot shoot the 3 1/2" Hurtinputenonme shells I just use 1 1/4 load of Heavy Shot. I did buy one of the sites like your talking about one time but lost it the first time I went hunting with it. Don't know how or when but when I headed back to the truck it was MIA.

i used the williams set up on my guns a few years back. what i liked about them is their base was stair stepped if you will to accomondate three diff rib widths. that way you could use it on a differant brand shotgun later if by some chance you get rid of that one but keep the site for future use. it too has full windage and elevation adjustments.

I put a scope on my turkey gun a few years back. I'll NEVER go back to open site for turkey hunting....
