I don't know if I should be praised or if I'm going to hell for this stunt. Last night was just this real nasty evening with high wind and spitting rain, snow, and sleet. I was going to pick something up at walmart real quick when a kid and girlfriend asked if I had jumpers because his car won't start. I thought I'd make him look stupid in front of his girl. Of course I had jumpers but told him I didn't. You have a truck with a tool box kid...use it... I told him "Go to the autozone down the street and buy get a pair - that I'd jump it for him." Of course he didn't realize he was 100 feet from a walmart so instead he took my advice and walked about 1/4 mile in that nasty weather. ;D ;D ;D So I go in, grab my stuff, get back outside, and he's getting back to his car all cold and wet. I then said all dumbfounded "I bet walmart would of had those things" Now he has a pair of jumpers --- you're welcome Of course if they were me, they'd go back to the store and return it...

I'd bet on hell, over praise.... Do you have to do a lot of thinking to come up with these nasty things, or does being a prick just come naturally?.... ;D ;D

Karma is going to give you cancer in some very tender places, Red.

if someone had done the same thing to Red we would all never hear the end of it. however, if this young man was driving a bit of a runned down auto and was not prepared for the bad weather, he is now. Red should have had the guy buy a new battery and be done with it. or he could have been nice, jumped their car for them, then while he was looked at as their hero, he could have slipped his # to the young lady and give her a wink. might have been able to parlay this into a real story! ;D

however, if this young man was driving a bit of a runned down auto and was not prepared for the bad weather, he is now. That's why I did that good deed. And I hope someday he'll do the same thing to someone else. Reflecting back, I wish I would of thought about telling him to walk to autozone and buy a battery. I'd of bought it for him just to see him lug the thing a quarter mile ;D ;D ;D That would of really made my day. Karma is not going to be good to me. I actually found my jumpers on the side of the highway (I find all my cool stuff on the side of the interstate --- jumpers, bungiecords, coolers, etc.) They're all rusty and in pretty bad shape so I don't even know if they work

I always figured the Good Lord put a certain number of A-Holes on earth to make the rest of us look good. ;D
If he would have wanted to go to Auto Zone I would have given him a ride!!
I used to carry cables and would help anyone I came upon. No longer do though. When one stray spark can do Thousands of dollars damage to someones computer, I simply can't afford to be the good samaritan. Much as I would like to. I have a friend who jumped a Chevy and it cost $700 to replace the entire instument cluster.
