www.avivafishinbuddy.com/index.htmI'm half kidding and half serouis I think this could be helpfull fishing from the bank. How many times do you go to a pond or small land and half of it isn't even fishable because you either can't walk to it or can't cast to it??? The problems 1. Does it have enough hook setting power? 2. You're going swimming if you get snagged!

Guess at $50 it might be fun to play with. I have pretty much switched to long rods so I could cast further. All my rod's are 7 ft now. I woild like to get one of the EuroRods in 10-12 ft range. They land some monsters with them and would not be too heavy for panfish either.

I wonder how it would fare if you hooked a 5# bass??? I guess that's why it has 2# line.

We used one of the remote controled boats to drop off heavy bait rigs on the dam area we could not cast to. Worked pretty well to get the baits where the action was.

Yeah and I have seen that done too! But the ones I saw used, just the batteries alone would have cost $50. And they did not tow 40lb + Cats out of that swift water. Big difference between real boat that can take the turbulence below a dam and a plastic bath tub toy!!! ;D ;D

We need to access one place where al the fish seemed to stay in an eddy behind a wing. Could not cast to it and could not fish the other side. A simple clothes pin would drop the bait pretty well and we got several walleye's that we would not have hook any other way.
They make that casting shotgun thing and I have seen some slingshot throwers that worked well. I like to bank fish and the only boats I own are canoe's. I was looking at a 20 foot johnboat that youy could dance on and thought of calling it a portable fishing bank.
