Partner and myself hunted 1st combined rifle. Went to GMU 15... Routt Forrest is 60% DEAD from Pine Beetles!!!!! Been reading it but didn't fully understand how much was gone! I had Bull tag, partner had Buck Deer. We saw about a dozen deer, 2 cow elk and a couple of moose cows. I did pop a couple of grouse. Aspens were bear with no bites....ground had few greenie munchies...if I go next year, it'll be in the SW part of state. Haven't talked to many that have done well in Colorado this year...guess that's why we call it hunting.....had a great time though! Dan

Don, the beetles seam to only be affecting Lodge pole pines...course, they are the predominant ones! Spruce and long leafs are that numerous. I had info to this....just didn't believe the magnitude. Dan
