My Bow is still in the store. It never made home. I wanted to be an archer but found I had no talent to start trying even I allso do not do trees well. But I envy all that can & do.

Nothing yet I've been hunting a new stand location I found a few weeks ago and have been seeing about 3 deer a night off of that (which is a very high number on public land). Unfortunatly the closest deer was a HUGE doe about 35-40 yards away. I tried hitting a fawn bleat but as soon as that happened a squirrel in the same tree as me went crazy and the deer spooked. I'm going back there tonight and tommarow night. I better have some success soon as 20 dollars a trip is going to kill me

Saturday got me good and mad I get to the tree I was going to climb and no sooner than I get the climber wrapped around the base of the tree I hear a deer blow a couple hundred yards away (the deer that was suppost to be comming in my direction in a couple hours). Confused on how I spooked it, I climbed the tree not knowing if my evening was done or not before I even started hunting. I barely had the bow up in the stand when I see something big in the overgrown clearcut walking straight at me so I'm scrambling to get an arrow nocked and in position for a shot. Then I realized it was a bowhunter just walking around randomly. So 5 minutes in, I was done. He was in the parking lot after dark and I asked if that was him. He said yeah and that he was still hunting for a few hours. He calls it still hunting. I call it "Wasting his time wandering around F'ing everyone's hunt up" Ah I can't stand that

I left the house Friday morning for a 2 hour, 15 minute drive to the farm. I learned upon arrival that I had left my bow at home. At least I didn't arrive empty handed. I brought my shotgun along for fall firearms turkey season and a rifle for thinning coyotes. Got one of each, so the weekend wasn't a complete bust. You know, I get so many "assists" in deer hunting it isn't funny. Dad calls me on the way to work this morning to say he killed a great big doe out of my ladder stand and doesn't know how he's going to get it out. I intentionally put that stand there each year because it's a mile from the parking lot and no one in their right mind would hunt it besides me because it's a 30 minute brisk walk one way with no gear And he hunts this stand 3 times in 3 years and kills 3 deer ;D
