We are now open for replies.

I guess the first order of business is trying to get a grasp of who is initally interested. I see 7 of us are at least somewhat interested. Perhaps now that you can post, we will get a few more people.

We could touch on the subject of guests at this time too. Obvouisly the more members that want to go, the less guests we should probably be bringing. Once you get past an X number of people in a hunting party, things tend to get unorganized and also not personable as the main reason for having this would be to actually meet other forum members. But I also understand concerns about not knowing people and transportation issues.

We're a long way from making those decisions but I thought I'd toss that out there at this time.

OK... maybe I am out of the loop on this... but what are you planning on doing? The what, where and when are pretty important factors to my participation. I think it'd be cool though.

But given my schedule and level of participation in taking care of Ben-Dog, I'd say that while I'd like to go... chances are less than 50/50 that I'd actually GET to go.

I've never put together something like this before so I don't know the best way of going about it. I do think everything will fall into place in short order and I understand that right now most are uncommited.

If this was a much larger site, it would be easy for me to say "This is what we're doing and this is when we are doing it. If you can show up, fine".
Since this is a smaller site, I think we have to do a lot more compromising.

The what, where, when, etc is still to be decided. This forum had been essentially locked from replies the last 4 or 5 days just to let people know we're going to plan something and to get thinking in private about what might work for them. The forum is now open and it's time to get started.

Unfortunately, home responsibilities would keep me from attending.
