Here's a new simple recipe that I learned over Turkey Day : Beer Bread 3c flour 1/2 c sugar 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1 12 oz. can or bottle beer (your choice what brand)
Mix all together, put in greased loaf pan & bake @ 350 drgrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Brush w/ butter bake for 5 more minutes. Like all bread its @ its best while still warm!!!! Tomorrow I'm gonna try it in the dutch oven so I can get the timing down and make some for ole Stumpy when he gets here. I will add that both Lil' Mama and Bounce thought it to be damn good!!!!

Do you have to let the dough rise, or set a bit before baking? Or just mix, and toss it in? This is one I'm going to have to try REAL soon ;D!
Not much bread baking around here. Ever seen three little ones try to 'help' make breads? Looks like a white cloud explosion at the Best of times, hahahaha!

I'm going to give it a try. I feel like I'm commiting a sin wasting a beer --- so it better be good. I might buy Busch N/A just for this purpose so it won't make me feel so bad

If it doesn't work I guess I'll buy a miller product. It's best to crack open a MGD and pour it down the sink anyway. ;D

What I'll do is mix the dry stuff together and put one batch each in a ziplock bag then when @ camp all I got to do is get out a bag add beer; mix it; and pour in the dutch oven to bake. Almost sounds to simple don't it?
