This is an old reciepe from my ancestors, don't make fun of it!!
Catch a large carp. 20 to 30 pounds
Pre heat oven to about 450 deg
Get a large board- Maple is best for flavor!
put crap on the board and place in oven for 10 min a pound. Don't over cook!
When done take out of the oven
Through carp away and eat the board ! Yum Yum no toothpicks needed

Funny thing is Ours is the only society in the world that won't eat Carp? Cut out the mud line and pressure cook it and it tastes much like canned tuna.

So does Dolphin. We have a resturant in Omaha called Joe Tess' and their friday special is deep fried Carp. That was our favorite friday treat when I was a kid. Of course we couldn't eat meat on Friday and my folks told me it was walleye. Could be worse, in Wyoming one time I saw a guy throwing fish up on the bank. I walked over and this guy is throwing away walleye and cussing them as those damn pike. I picked up after him, strictly in the interests of keeping the shore clean. Later I went back with a stringer of puny trout and fished for PIKE.

He used to rave about how good the Fried Carp was in resturants along the dock . He said the commercial fishermen on the Mississippi would bring in huge carp and you could eat all the fried fish you could for a few bucks. Come to think of it Glen was Catholic too.
