Sweet. Leaving the sides off seems to me to be a lot smarter than having flip up sides. Eyebolts with tie down straps do a great job.

You can't trust the eye bolts Bill because they aren't hardened and actually snap off kinda easy from the bouncing while going down the road.

i'll put welded D-RINGS on it this week ,must get a tongue jack to.
if it were 2ft wider it wouldn't be legal anywhere. outside the tires are almost 8ft now.
this trailer was built from 8ft storage rack rails ,like the ones they store lumber and stuff on at lowes.

Nice looking trailer. It seems like most folks around here use the Lowes trailer you referred too to haul there ATVs.

Man... the wheels seem way far back on that thing. Is the tongue weight HUGE on it, or is it a trick of the camera and angle?
I have a little 4x8 trailer that fits my quad perfectly. I have it loaned out at the moment, but I sure would like it back. It'll pull my Bombardier Traxter with a perfect balance of tongue weight. You can't even tell it's back there.
That a pretty trailer, but I like sides. Too often I put some lumber on it to haul dirt or gravel or fire wood.
But, everyone has their own preferances.

lowes trailers are way over priced, i have 480.00 in this trailer .a factory trailer would run around 1200.00 . most cheaper factory trailer are built so they must have the rails on the sides to gain strenght. if you're going to haul atv's sideways you don't want the rails.
loading 3 on this trailer is easyier without the rails but still alittle work with the fenders. we load one on the back and then pick it up with a small floor jack and roll it up between the fenders,it only takes a second to do. most we will only haul 2 anyway but its nice to be able to haul 3 when needed, plus there wasn't much extra cost with the added we width.
