Hey now, I bought the 50/50 pre-mix antifreeze. I could of bought of bought the straight stuff and a 99 cent gallon of water. OK so here's one where I'll out cheap you. I always buy a gallon of antifreze and mix it myself 50/50 so I have 2 gallons of coolant for the price of one.

Hmm
Seems like I'm losing about 1/4" (according to the tank levels) of coolant each morning. Outside temps have been about the same when I check it. I can't find where it's leaking and the oil looks ok.
Hopefully the levels are different because of air temp, but like I said it's been a pretty consistant 34-37 degrees when I check it.

I thought sure it was another hose clamp failure story... ;D Of course it may still be just that. Something tells me Red, with your luck with mechanical things, that once you started the process, by changing hoses, your truck will leak coolant for eternity... ;D ;D

I went out and check it today and it was low again. I grabbed hold of the hose and started squeezing it and finally a air bubble popped and the coolant went back to where it should be.
Hopefully that's all that's happening. I'm not smelling it, so it's not burning it off. I guess we'll have to see if there's antifreeze in the oil the next time that's changed.
If it's in the oil, I'll sell the truck

Red, I sure hope that's solved the problem. Anti freeze in the oil is gonna be an $$$$$$ fix, as you know. Good luck!

Just check the dip stick. It'll be on it. Or you'll see a gunk on it.
