I wish to put a gun rack behind the seat on my new truck. I have a rack already. It is set up for drilling holes and mounting. There in is the problem. I don't want to drill holes in my new truck. What I would like to do is glue the rack in. I suspect different types of epoxy might be the best choice, but I was wondering what type of glue would you use? Assuming you would use glue for this pupose.

A clean surface, then if surface is metal maybe JB weld? if plastic, epoxy, pcv glue. Their are allso some pretty kool plumers epoxy types, can't remeber the name but one comes in a stick like a slim jim, and you just break off what you want, roll it around like playdoe to mix the cemicals and stick it to your surface then press in anything yout sticking or mounting in your case.

Gorilla Glue MIGHT do the trick; I don't know if I'd trust my rifles to any type of "Glue". Screws are prob. the best.

WalMart has a two-gun rack that has suction cups (four on each side - two at the top and two at the bottom). I don't recall the brand name. I put one on the rear window of my Ranger XLT Super Cab. It's been there since '99 (right after I bought the truck new) and it's still there and holding tight. I worried at first about the suction cups coming loose, but the never have. They were fairly cheap too, as I recall. They were under $10.

Thanks, Dovehunter. I amy venture into the 'enemy's territory' again and have a look at that.
I just found out that it is illegal in North Dakota to carry an uncased rifle in vehicle, (probably except a trunk). That surprised me. I saw that in Iowa, but didn't expect it here. I grew up around gunracks in the back window of pickups.

I am surprised at both N.D. & Iowa not allowing gun racks. Around these parts, you aren't a proper redneck unless you have a gun rack (with guns) over the rear window of your pickup. What is the world coming too? Is nothing sacred any more?

I looked into it some more. The law is that the guns must be in a locked gun case. The only exception is for those who have a concealed carry permit -- they may have a concealed pistol/revolver on their person.

Wow. Erosions. Right there. Let's bow to the anti's that are afraid when they even SEE a gun. Better hide them. They are talking about making a law that game needs to be covered here too. Wouldn't want to offend any ANTI's. Man... what a crock of corn laden feces!

North Dakota must have gotten a couple dozen ANTI's moved in up their? It would not take many in a small population state. All they have to do is do their stuff in the two largest towns!!
