This is hearsay coming from someone who lives in the southern part of the state with nothing to really back it up --- but I believe it.
Down in Southern Missouri there are wild hogs the state is trying to get rid of. What people are doing is using dogs to catch the female pigs while the hunters tie her up alive. They bring her back to their house/farm and breed her with their domestic boar. They then turn the pregnant pig back loose in the national forest.
Apparantly the game wardens down there are having a heck of time with that.

Right You just can't do that anyways
But this just makes the wild hog population worse. I understand they are pretty easy to hunt as you basically look for fresh sign and then use a pigglet distress call.
So people are basically "raising" hogs at the expense of the state's natural resources

Wild Hogs are in southern Indiana now around the OHIO river and are a shoot on sight in my humbles.
