what many guys don,t seem too fully realize is that EFFECTIVE USE OF CAMO is not only, HOW well you match the background, but the TEXTURE of the CAMO and the background its supposed to match, as it is ,HOW, WHEN and where you move, how you take advantage of shadows and brush, and WHERE in the terrain you move and how your use the features of that terrain to break up your outline as any pattern your wearing on those CAMO colors.
ITs MOVEMENT, THE NOISE you make, the attention to wind dirrection, and WHERE your possitioned, when you travel or stop and rest, that makes you easy to locate,or hard to spot. the camo pattern, can make you far more difficult to locate but moving only while partly screened and sticking to the shadows, stopping next to tree trunks, staying in shadows etc. does as much to make you hard to locate as the camo pattern.
you don,t need a GHILLIE SUIT to increase your chances of remaining un-detected, but skill full use of camo does provide an EDGE thats very useful.
but if you DO learn to use all the tricks youll find you can get in closer before being detected.
your distance from the game also plays a huge part in your chances of being detected, if the game is within 100 yards of you it needs to visually scan 3497 sq yards around it in that 100 yard radias,to spot you, but at 400 yards it would need to scan 55956 sq yards to detect you, in that 400 yard radias, thats 16 times the area.
sit without moving anything but your eyes, under a low hanging conifer branch in the shade, leaning on stumps or tree trunks, that distort your outline, while you wear a decent camo pattern, especially one of the textured patterns, that match your area, and without the standing HUMAN shape or movement to key onto and you become almost un-detectable by sight alone
A couple packs of these added to nearly any decent camo pattern does an amazing job at breaking up your outline

Ive used them for years and have seen the differance they make, yeah youll take some B.S. for useing them at times but youll also increase your odds of remaining un-detected if you follow the other advice as well.
I used to take alot of crap in camp over thier use, but now many of the guys see the advantages and use them
