A lot of times, in low light situations, the flash makes the background look like it is dark. I have a few pictures that look dark like this one. That really is a nice bull. Real nice. Looks cold out there too! He should be proud of a fine trophy like that!

You make me feel bad Utah300rum. I'm jealous. Nothing that big in my trophy room. You guys should be proud.

Hey Bill could be worse... Our old City manager went out with his dad and they shot one that big. Paid big bucks to have a shoulder mount made, and then it was too big to hang in the living room. The nose was waist high when the rack hit the ceiling and the wife made him hang it in the garage. He uses it to store his garden hoses on in the winter!

I have worked for over 11 years as a HVAC technician and go into over 30 homes a week. It is amazing how many animal mounts I see hanging in the garage. Many homes just dont have high enough ceilings and many the husband had to give in since the mount doesnt "match the decor" My neighboor down the street has 3 bull elk over 350", two 30" mule deer, one 180+" whitetail, 2 good antelope, and a few african game mounts all hanging in his garage The bull was shot in the evening during legal hours, they had to wait for the snow to stop before going to recover him.

Sounds like Two Moons shop he and I used to work in. The floor was dirt and the ceilings were 6.5" s high and the elk antlers hung outside at the peak. Kept good for years that way. Another friend of mine shoot a huge bull elk and did a european mount and it hung on the wall just fine. Just took up half the room is all. ;D I always wanted to shoot a buffalo and have a full body mount made of both ends of it. Then I could have it cut in half and have half in the house and half out side. Then if the wife complained I could always turn it around. Kind of like here is your sign. ;D
