I don, tthink Ive EVER used more than a few handfuls of JACKETED bullets in many of my rifles. the 44 mag marlin lever action and my 45/70 marlin RARELY ever saw a jacked load used. Ive taken a few deer over the years with cast loads in my 375 H&H, just to see how it worked out,but generally Ive used most cast bullets in the 44 and 45 caliber pistols/rifles where they work great, in fact I think that properly cast bullets EXCEED the results for acuracy and penetration Ive seen with factory jacketed bullets how about you gentelmen?

The only cast bullets I use is in my muzzleloader - and they are factory cast. I do agree they get more penetration and power than the average jacketed, although new technology has come out in the last few years.
