This kind of stuff only happens to me. I get down out of my treestand at 10am and walk the short 150 yards to the truck. I normally put my release in my pocket but this time it was in my bag. Just before getting to the truck, a big yearling stands up 50 yards away and I hunker down trying to figure out what to do next. Well the deer couldn't figure out what I was so it trotted towards me. I put a arrow on the string and I'm going bannannas trying to get the release out of my bag. The next thing I know the deer is 20 yards away broadside looking at me. I said screw it and shot using bare fingers and missed. Could of smoked it with the release. So, do you guys keep your release on when walking to and from stands???
