When I was scouting for antelope the archery season must have started. I saw some blinds being used, they also had some antelope silhouttes out. I hadn't seen much of blinds being used in SD before. But then I have not archery hunted for a long time.

I think the only way to hunt antalope with a bow is with the use of groundblinds. You're basically limited to waiting at waterholes (probably the best option by far) or doing a spot/stalk approach and try to use a decoy to get the antalope in close (which leaves you exposed in the grass/sage. You might have a long shot on these things too and the 30 mph at 40 yards is not a good idea ) My opinion - if you're hunting with a bow you need to be at a water hole.

Blinds at waterholes are really the best way to hunt Antalope but something I have seen that works and will just about make you die laughing when you see it is the silouettes of a cow using two people. One to work the cow and one to do the shooting. Seems that Antalope can't tell how many legs a cow has. OH look, that cow has 8 legs. Antalope can see very well at long distances and can run like the wind but what gets them is their not all that smart. Too bad because if they were smarter there would be a lot more of them to hunt. ;D
