September 15th is Missouri's opener for deer and it goes on until January 15th - taking only a two week break for rifle season Wow, that's a long time. Of course there are many problems for archery hunters in Missouri. To start with, most people don't go squirrel hunting until september. Dove season is in september. Fall shotgun turkey hunting runs the entire month of October. Youth firearms weekend is in the peak in the rut. Bird hunting starts in November. December and january is full of rabbit hunting and more birds. So while our season is very long, there are so many obsticles for those hunting on public land. This is exactly why I'm hunting on public land that is archery only and owned by Ameron UE. However with my luck the way it is - the US security level will probably turn orange and Ameron will be closed to the public. What about your archery season?

Archery season for antelope started in my area on the 15th but deer and elk don't start until Sept. 1 here in Wyoming. Good luck to all fellow bowhunters!
