Today was Canada Goose Opening day... I got 2 of these, my hunting partner got one... Not a bad morning all in all ...

Thanks Guys... I just love goose hunting .. there's nothing like getting them big-ole-birds locked up and coming towards your decoy spread like they are in a string....
Bounce.. the smaller ones are "lesser" Canada's ... the larger one is a "greater" Canada... the two smaller ones were shot out of one group and the larger one was all by herself... We get all 3 types of Canada geese here on the peninsula... Greater, Lesser and Giant... I've shot one Giant in my whole life ... they weigh between 14 and 18 pounds ... I've heard of them getting bigger but never seen them any bigger then about 15 pounds ... they have a little different markings and of course they are much bigger and really throw a hell-ov-a silhouette in the air when they are decoying into your spread ...

Wow! A 15 lb. goose would be one big bird... You'd feel the ground shake when you knocked one of those big boys out of the air... ;D It would make for a good Christmas dinner.
