Well Tomorrow starts the Delaware Early Teal Season... 5 bird limit and I'm outtahere... We have to be up at the blind 1 1/2 hours before shooting starts to get the Decoys out and all set up... I imagine this time of year, I better carry the MOSQUITO SPRAY with me... we're probably going to get eat-up!!
Hope I got something good to report tomorrow night..

Teal... Those little buggers are a challenge to hit. I'm used to hunting them in a windy creek bottom and flooded timber. I was always amazed how they could twist and dart through the trees without smackin' into one. I always missed more than I hit... Hope you have a good day...

Three Shots ... Three for the OVEN!! The first birds of the year. I got these birds within the first 10 minutes of the season.... My two hunting buddies got 4 each ... Total 11 birds opening day .. that's not too shabby in my book... We're going back Saturday morning to try them again ... The place we usually hunt these buggers is a big water impoundment.. the problem today was that they just started letting the water back into the impoundment Tuesday!!! ... We ended up shooting them with about 6" of water on a pond that was only 75 yards long and 45 yards wide... If we would have had more water in front of us we probably would have limited out by 0700 ... All in All .. it was a great day!!
