When I got home from exercising the dog this morning the wife told me that the phone had rang and she didn't get to it in time to answer it. She had checked the answering maching and it was a message from Donnie. He was woodcock hunting. I called him back and he was still hunting. ;D Had two birds get up while he was talking to me and had to hang up on me. He called back in about 20 minutes and he had gotten them both. With two dogs he said it was pretty easy to do once you find them. He was also spending more time slapping skeeters than talking. Seems that most of his best Woodcock ground is now underwater and has become a swamp full of skeeters rather than great Woodcock ground. Didn't take him long after that to call it quits and head home. ;D Said he needed a transfusion as he was drained.

He said the northern birds hadn't come down yet. Too warm. Heck he said it was warmer there than it is where I live.
