The success of this site depends on you, the member. You are here because you fit in with the culture of this particular forum. In the past on our previous site, we grew because you referred friends to join. This is the single best way for this site to gain quality posting active members.
I would like to introduce a referral rewards program that each of you can use for both your advantage and for ours.
This program is very simple. You talk to your family and friends and tell / email them about our site huntingfirearms.proboards59.com
When the member joins, either the new member or you can private message me telling me the name of the new member you referred or the name of the member that referred you. I can not rely on emails because addresses do get deleted as junk nor can I rely on posts on the forum as confirmation because I occasionally skip over new posts.
For every 3 new members (who post a minimum of 50 posts each) you refer, I'll give you a one year subscription to the outdoor magazine of your choice up to $20 dollars.
Such publications include (but are certainly not limited to) Field and Stream, Outdoor Life, Peterson's Hunting, Bowhunting, Handloader, Rifle, and even the North American Hunting Club. Even your local publications qualify. If you can find valid promotional coupons that fall under the 20 dollar rewards limit to organizations such as the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, etc --- that's ok too !!!
All I will need is your contact information so I can take care of the billing or I need to see a copy of your receipt so I can reimburse you via money order. I will only reimburse you for subscriptions you applied for after you receive confirmation from me that you have met the referral requirements. The program is meant to reward you with an outdoor learning tool and entertainment as opposed to rewarding you with cash or paying you back for a subscription you began months ago.
There are restrictions on what is a qualified referral.
1. The new member must get to 50 posts of "value". A smilie, for example, as a post is not considered a post of value.
2. A member may not make a duplicate membership for himself/herself under a different name.
3. Mass emails or simply linking our site to another site does not count. Referrals must come from personal family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances, etc. If you have a good relationship with someone on another forum and invite them over, that's ok. But it can't be an open invitation or link for all.
4. The referral must have been made on the huntingfirearmsproboards forum and the person referred can not have been a member of our old huntingfirearms forum. We all sent emails out to old members at the beginning of this site, so that does not count. JimH's referral of Glennasher counts because glennasher was not a member of the old site, and Glennasher now has 50 posts. To my knowledge, this is the only qualified referral so far. Please let me know if I passed someone up.
The administration does reserve the right to end this program and to review and reject unqualified referals. Abuse of this program may result in suspension from this site.
This is a rather simple idea and I don't want you to feel overwhelmed with the technical rules.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via private message.
Thank you all for your time here.
Let's make our site grow together !!!
